Kathy's bed (top photo) and mine.
We are in the Marie Antoinette Brigham room. Oh, my. This is so beautiful, so feminine! Marie Antoinette lived in the house and there are pictures of her and her parents in our room. After we shower and change clothes its time to eat.
We had hoped Muddy Waters Pub would be open down on Division St. Sounds like a neat place for supper, however, it was closed. Our hosts recommended a restaurant and we went there…and then we went somewhere else. I ordered coffee. The waitress said they didn’t have any made and did not offer to make any. Needing my caffeine, I ordered a cola. I forget what Kathy wanted, and they didn’t have it. Plus their prices for pizza, (for such a little place of paper plates and paper cups) were pretty expensive. We walked out.
We headed toward the east end of town and stopped a family on the street to ask where we could eat. They recommended the Akropolis Restaurant. It was not that much farther (remember we are on foot). We walked in and were seated immediately. I was treated to a coffee and I think Kathy had her tea. We ordered. In no time our meals were on the table. We were told that they had been about to close when we came in but they would stay open for us. Our waitress told us the day cook happened to come in and was cooking for us. Our waitress came around asking if I wanted more coffee. She said she would put on a fresh pot if I did. I declined, but I was grateful for the offer. The day cook turned out to be the owner who had come in to close up. Which restaurant do think we recommend?
